Rakon is embarking on a $9 million two-year project to develop products in the GPS-enabled cellphone and wireless network infrastructure markets.

Chief executive Brent Robinson said Rakon had $4.4 million of funding from the Government's Foundation for Research, Science and Technology.   

The company expects GPS to be integrated into every mobile phone and aims to help network providers expand coverage and deliver greater wireless bandwidth.
